IntroductionMastoid process is one of the most important landmark skull. It a part temporal boneand contains air filled space which called mastoid cells. also an attachment differentneck muscles. Normal measurement very for surgeons' pointof view. This study was aimed to assess normal dimension process. MethodsThe descriptive cross-sectional conducted on 104 patients, at Department ofRadiology and Imaging, College medical sciences, Bharatpur, Nepal. All CT examinations wereperformed using Toshiba 160 slice scanner. The data analyzed Statistical Packagefor Social Sciences (SPSS) version 16 (SPSS, Inc., IBM Company, Chicago, IL). Descriptivestatistics used analyze data. ResultsAmong patients who participated in study, 38 (36.5%) were male 66 (63.5%) werefemale. measurements taken males higher than femalesexcept anterior inclination angle more female both right left side. Thevolume 14.16±5.3 14.69±6.6 side respectivelywhile it less. ConclusionsThe present estimated ofmastoid larger females.
